Frequently Asked Questions

Your Questions Answered

What is coaching?

Coaching supports you to achieve your goals. To help you get from where you are, to where you want to be and develop a toolkit along the way that you can use again and again, for the rest of your life.

A coach supports you to understand your habits of thinking, feeling and behaving, so you can identify if they're helpful or not and if not, change them. The coach's role is not to tell you what to do, or provide any answers. Instead to provide a different perspective, to challenge you when you feel stuck and to be your biggest champion.

Coaching is about your journey, your goals, your choices, your life.

What's the difference between coaching and counselling?

I am a big advocate for both counselling and coaching. To be clear, I am not a qualified or licensed counsellor and so that does mean that I specifically offer coaching services only.

Counselling is for people who are struggling with their mental health and feel unwell.

Coaching is for well people who need guidance with how to plan for their future and achieve their goals.

It is possible to see a counsellor and coach at the same time. I advise that this is discussed with both counsellor and coach before working with them to ensure that both can provide the support and care you need.

What are your fees?

Each 121 coaching session is for 60 minutes and costs £65. Payment details can be discussed before we start working together.

Do you offer online or in person sessions?

I offer both. We can either have sessions via Zoom (I can talk you through how to get set up if needed) or in person if you live in the Bath/Bristol area. In person sessions can either be outside (weather dependent) or in an indoor public space (such as a coffee shop) where social distancing measures can be adhered to.

We can chat through this before we start to ensure you're comfortable with how we will work together.

Do I have to commit to a number of sessions?

No, I do not ask for a commitment to a number of sessions. It's your choice how long we work together.

I do believe that you will benefit from having several sessions together before making any decisions. That will provide us with enough time to really connect and get to the heart of supporting you and your goals.
